Sedona Retreats

Sedona, Arizona is awe–inspiring. Its majestic scenery draws people from all over the world to touch Mother Nature as only the Red Rocks and this sacred valley can. Long revered by the Yavapai, Havasupai, Navajo, Hopi and Apache Nations, Sedona today is a mecca for travelers thirsting for its beauty and the promise of its magic. It is a community nestled in a verdant valley that thrives on sharing its abundance with those who come to recharge themselves.

This is Shanti’s home, the place that nurtures her and the one she knows intimately. Her Sedona Retreats offer many paths to individuals and groups; newcomers and seasoned visitors. Whatever you are searching for, Shanti brings great depth to your journey.

Priestess Initiation Process Program – Individual Priestess Training available
The inner Priestess is the aspect of your being that knows all life is sacred. She upholds the sanctity of your daily life, your hopes and dreams, your physical, sexual, emotional, spiritual and mental natures.

The Apprenticeship process profoundly unfolds in nurturing ways that support the awakening of each Priestess in her own time and own way. This training also includes the Toltec philosophy of creating Heaven on Earth. This is a nine month, one day a month commitment.

Sedona Spiritual Retreat: Embracing Oneness - September 19-24, 2009
Please join us for a magical retreat to the red rock country of Sedona, Arizona. For six days we will have the opportunity to experience the beauty, majesty and energy of this unusual location on Mother Earth. Each day we will visit a different vortex to reflect our inner mystic to us, and in addition, the limiting beliefs and concepts that are keeping us from this self-realization and oneness.

The time frame for our September retreat happens to be during the sacred Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur. Beginning with Rosh Hashanah on September 18th - until Yom Kippur on September 27th which is the day of Atonement (the at-one-ment with Spirit/God), the veils between the worlds are thin making it a perfect time to reflect on the past year and to commit to dreaming a healthier future filled with our deepest intentions. It's time for forgiveness and living our life from a place of wholeness and love. Indeed - you don't have to be Jewish to appreciate this mythology (as this journey is not about religion, but about expressing our divine nature). You only need the desire to open your heart and mind to more powerful opportunities for love and light in your life.

We will be gathering at the lovely Sedona Mago Retreat Center. The center serves a healthy vegetarian diet and is located on land that vibrates at a high frequency. Using the techniques of the vision quest, shamanistic dreaming, meditation and ceremony we will embrace our oneness with the land and each other. From this vantage point you will clearly see how you are preventing yourself from becoming all you can be in this lifetime.

As part of this retreat we will engage in a fire ceremony, multiple ceremonies in beautiful locations, and a beautiful healing massage which is part of the retreat package. If you are looking for a place to open your heart and to gain clarity of your mind, this is where you want to be. Shanti Gilbert is co-teaching with me on this journey.

Daily Schedule
Day 1 (-/-/d)- Meet the group at the Sedona Mago Retreat Center at 4:00 pm for a group get-together, opening ceremony and restful night. If you are flying into Phoenix you can carpool to Sedona with some of the other participants! Once settled in we will have an opening ceremony which may include calling in the spirits of the directions, conch shell blowing and the sharing of intentions. We spend the next four days exploring and moving through the sacred Sedona land. We will work with ritual, ceremony, meditation and discussion. There is no definite schedule for these days because in Sedona we work with the energy present in the moment!

Day 2 (b/-/d)- The unusual rock formation of Devil's Bridge is where we will be meeting for a morning ceremony. In the afternoon you may chose to have body work, or have time to journal and hike the land. In the evening we are going to share our experiences and have a meditation under the stars.

Sedona Spiritual Retreat Day 3 (b/l/d)- Today we will hike Cowpies up Schnebly Road for our morning ceremony and process time. There will be some free time in the afternoon for massages and/or experiencing one of the vortex's on the retreat land. In the evening we will meet again for sharing, discussion and class.

Day 4 (b/-/d)- In the morning we will have a get together for class, sharing, dreaming and meditation time. After lunch we will hike to the Shaman's Cave for a Fire and Pipe Ceremony. In the evening we'll share and have a fire ceremony.

Day 5 (b/l/d)- For our last day we will hike either Cathedral or Mexcal Mt with the Birthing Cave. The afternoon will have some free time and we will meet again for our last evening dinner and class.

Day 6 (b/-/-)- We leave Sedona today renewed and with a change of heart. New friends have been made and old friendships made stronger. We look forward to the challenge of bringing this new dream home with us!
